Ringing In Ears Treatment

Maybe your doctor already told you that there is no such thing as ringing in ears treatment. Maybe he told you to just "cope" with it? The medical profession is all wrong on tinnitus. In this article, I'll review some of the potential treatments that you can try.

A Word About Drugs

Before we go further I just want to let you know, in case you didn't already, that sadly there are no drug treatments yet for this condition. Doctors are learning more and more about the neurobiology of tinnitus but we are still unfortunately years away from a cure.

Eliminate Problematic Drugs

Did you know that there are many modern drugs that frequently contribute to tinnitus?

Even if you are not on any specific long term medications, many common over the counter drugs with long half lives can give you tinnitus. For example, did you know that ibuprofen can give you tinnitus? Statins can also give you tinnitus.

Whatever drugs you take, do an internet search first to find out about the side effects and whether tinnitus is also listed.

Tinnitus Noise Masking

One possibility is to simply mask the ringing/buzzing with another noise in the background.

for example, many sufferers will leave a TV on to go to sleep too. You can even buy a special pillow with a speaker built into it to let yourself drift off to the sound of the radio.

Retraining Therapy

This is usually the best that the medical profession can offer. It consists of counselling and listening to a noise generator.

The idea is that you can learn how to ignore the tinnitus and not notice that it is there. The results are promising but your tinnitus never actually goes away and from time to time you do still notice it.

Head/Neck/Jaw Problems

Do you have any sinus problems? Or how about neck pain or strains? And what about TMJ or other jaw problems? Maybe your wife tells you that you grind your teeth? Maybe you even have clicking jaw problems or pain where the jaw attaches to the skull?

These conditions can heavily influence your tinnitus. If you fix them, it doesn't necessarily mean that your tinnitus will be cured completely (you'll almost certainly get a lot of relief though) but if you don't then it will be intense until you get around to doing something about it.

Stress

It's common for most people to say "I'm stressed" but real stress is different. Are you a very anxious person? Do you worry a lot? Do you find it hard to get to sleep because of thoughts in your head (not talking about the tinnitus right now)? Do you obsessively think about the future?

If this is you then it's likely that stress is a major factor in your tinnitus. If you eliminate your stress you will at least reduce and possibly even get rid of your tinnitus altogether.

Natural Cure

The medical profession believes that there is no cure for tinnitus because hearing loss (which is necessary) cannot be reversed. Yet there are many people with hearing loss but without this condition - why is that?

The answer is that hearing loss is not enough, you must also have several lifestyle and environmental co-factors to cause this condition. So it follows that by eliminating these factors from your life then you can in fact lower your symptoms intensity and even cure yourself completely.

There are no drugs for tinnitus. But there is a natural way to cure your tinnitus. Discover the proven 8-step success plan for curing your tinnitus here: End Your Tinnitus.
